About the Event
Immigrant Services Society of BC (ISSofBC), the organization is dedicated to welcoming and supporting immigrants, refugees, and newcomers as they settle into life in British Columbia, Canada.
With over 50 years of experience as one of Canada's first newcomer organizations, ISSofBC focuses on four core pillars:
Settlement Support: Connecting individuals and families to local public services and helping them integrate into their new communities.
Language Learning: Providing English classes and educational resources to improve language skills and communication.
Employment & Career Services: Assisting newcomers with career programs, understanding Canadian work culture, and finding employment.
Community & Advocacy: Promoting a sense of belonging, advocating for positive solutions within the immigration sector, and supporting Truth and Reconciliation efforts regarding Indigenous cultures.
