Building a Pathway to Employment and Community for International Graduates
The Hamilton International Student Workforce Readiness Program is a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to support international students transition into fulfilling careers and lives within the city. This initiative is lead by the International Student Community Collective (ISCC), a partnership with the City of Hamilton, McMaster University, Mohawk College, Redeemer University, and Helping International Students (HIS).

Program Highlights

Tailored for Success: A centralized, cohort-based program offering graduating international students personalized mentorship, workshops, employment connections, and community engagement to support their study-to-work transitions.

Merit Badge Certification: At program completion, graduates earn a “Hamilton Workplace Ready” badge, signaling their career preparedness, and knowledge of living and working in Hamilton
Are you an international student ready to launch your career in Hamilton?

This 8-week program will prepare international students that wish to stay in the City of Hamilton post-graduation, with the toolkit to thrive in the City as a young professional. This includes:

community integration and career workshops

access to networking events with the business community and employers

Hamilton key sector tours (goods movement, agribusiness and food processing, life sciences, tourism, creative industries, ICT and digital media, manufacturing , real estate and finance)
